If you know -- good. If you don't -- you should. George Jones was one of the hardest drinking, fastest living son of a guns in all of country music history. Admittedly living a life modeled after his hero, Hank Williams, George Jones blazed a trail of infamy and heartache across the wide-open plains of country music history. Known for his distinctive voice and loose phrasing style, the exploits of George Jones have passed from mere stories into legend.

It's true: according to Country Music Television, Jones is the "the greatest living country singer" today. In true George Jones style, I'm sure hed say something to the effect, "it's the living part that's tricky." Then again, all of his songs carry that signature sound.

Jones was famously (or infamously) married to Tammy Wynette. This marriage made in madness was the stuff of legend, often requiring the services of the local sheriff to help them mediate. Between his drinking problem and her drug addiction, it was not the high point of marital bliss for either one of them, When it all came crashing down in 1975, no one was surprised.

1. It is the name given to the sound made by any kind of telephone, not just mobile phones, to announce an incoming call or text message. Most of these sounds, especially those that do not have a tune or are not customised, are not tones at all and should actually be called ring sounds.

2. The first telephones had a bell which made a 'ring'ing sound when struck by a hammer, operating electromagnetically, to announce a call. While this system is still common, most cell phones and modern land line phones have advanced from the ring to producing different kinds of sounds.

3. While receivers nowadays allow adjustments to the volume, there are many variations on offer regarding the type of ring tone - to allow differentiation between two or more instruments lying side by side. Specific customer requirements are also covered, such as for the hearing impaired.

4. Towards the late 1980s mechanical ring tones were slowly getting replaced by electronic ones progressing from single tones to those playing two, three or more tones and then on to melodies.

The Proceeds Continue in True Blood Season 2 Episode 3

Now we are onto the third episode of Season 2 True Blood, the production by Alan Ball for HBO television. Doesnt time fly by! Sookie, strangely enough, is the one to get attacked. This time not by vampires but by a stranger creature with what looks to be a human body with a bulls head. She is infected by some form of poison but is cured by a knowledgeable doctor.

Once Sookie is cured of her ills, she finds out that Lafayette is being held in Eric Northman, Sookies ex boyfriend. She sets off in earnest to find out Lafayettes where-abouts and hopefully to get him released too.

On seeing Eric, Sookie then lashes out at him showing she is not afraid of him and also showing she actually doesnt like him much. Eric then decides to free Lafayette in exchange for Sookies help in finding his friend, and he also gives her $10,000 to further encourage her.

Whats going down with Jason Stackhouse? Is he coming to his senses and is he going to walk away from the camp from hell? Sarah asks him to come to dinner and he happily accepts. Whats going to go on there then we have to wonder?

Jessica and Hoyte apparently are enjoying each others company even though Hoyte learns that she is a vampire. Hoyte gets all nervous in her company like a little innocent boy. Jessica decides to take Hoyte back to Bills place to play some wii. However, when Bill returns to find them together, he goes bezerk.

Tara is wondering about Sam Merlotte and why he hates her so she asks MaryAnn. MaryAnn being the sneaky character we know her to be, does not wish to say. Lets hope Tara does choose to move out of MaryAnns house and in with Sookie, dont you agree?

While this is all going on, Sam is meanwhile treating Daphne like trash and heads out for a run. He then goes swimming in the local lake. Daphne follows him and while she is in the process of taking her clothes off we spot some deep scratches on her back. Hmm, what do we think caused those scratches? It maybe that Daphne is the thing that attacked Sookie earlier who knows right now?

If you are familiar with Charlaine Harris books then youll recognize the deviation from the original story line. If you did read them and enjoyed them, then I wonder if you are enjoying True Blood quite as much?

But, has to be said that the previews for next weeks show " episode 4 " do look good. Perhaps then we are in for a bit of a roller coaster ride. But then being a Charlaine Harris fan, its maybe a bit unfair of me to judge True Blood with any harshness.

The Chairman Of The Board Meets Brazil's Bossa Nova Pioneer

Critics often dismiss Frank Sinatra as a mere 'pop' singer and don't afford him the respect that they give to his contemporaries. He's often accused of lacking technical vocal mastery and simply a singer who reworked a 'formula' over and over again. While Sinatra certainly knew what he liked and what worked for him, to belittle his artistry as a vocalist is unfair and displays a superficial knowledge of his body of work. Perhaps the finest example of his vocal excellence is his work with Brazilian guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Jobim is often credited with popularizing Bossa Nova music outside of Brazil. He worked with Sinatra on an album of samba tinged standards entitled Francis Albert Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim. The work was a critical and commercial success, and Sinatra would hold Jobim in very high regard for the rest of his life"both as a musician and as a friend. After Jobim entered a semi-retirement in the 1970s and 1980s where he did little collaboration with other artists, Sinatra would often introduce his performances of Jobim songs live by remembering his Brazilian colleague in very fond terms or expressing the hope that the two men could work together in the future.

"Wave", written by Jobim and arranged by Eumir Deodato, is perhaps the finest of their collective work. It features some magnificent technical singing by Sinatra, including what are the lowest notes ever recorded by "The Chairman of the Board". For the rest of his life Sinatra enjoyed listening to 'Wave just to hear how good he sounds hitting the bass notes.

This song was to have been a featured track on a second collection of Sinatra/Jobim collaborations, but for some inexplicable reason it was never released as such. The story that has circulated over the years is that the Sinatra/Jobim album was all set to be released, and for some reason it was put on the back burner so that Reprise could release the concept album "Watertown" instead. As an artistic decision, it's tough to fathom the rationale if this is the case. "Watertown" sold fewer copies than any other Sinatra release on Reprise, and to call it an "acquired taste" is being charitable. Another story is that Sinatra himself nixed the release because he didn't like the cover art. The braintrust that came up with the idea of photographing the Chairman of the Board wearing a windbreaker and standing in front of a Greyhound bus could have been responsible for depriving the world of a second sublime collection of Sinatra with a bossa nova twist.

"Wave", along with the majority of the songs intended for the "Sinatra/Jobim" album finally surfaced on "Sinatra and Company" in 1970. The "b" side is some of Sinatra's ill-fated attempts to cover popular songs of the day ("Close To You", It's Not Easy Being Green", "Leaving On A Jet Plane"). These are recordings that even the most devoted Sinatra-philes collect for the sake of completing a collection only, and a stark contrast to the masterful work with Jobim on the album's "A" side. "Wave" also appeared on the Reprise box set and of course of the "Complete Reprise Recordings" suitcase collection.

Critic Will Friedwald, who may have written more about Sinatra's body of work than anyone, praised his recordings with Jobim as having a "flexibility and delicacy, as if they could be blown about by a soft Brazilian breeze". In any case, the Sinatra/Jobim sessions certainly rank among the finest vocal work of Sinatra's amazing career.

To do this, divide a lemon into 2, squeeze one half onto whole surface of the cymbal and use the other to rub the lemon around. If you have a pot cleaner, apply this and rub on the lemon. This will bring out the shine. You can do this for the 2 surfaces. Then apply the vinegar. If you want to keep the label of the cymbal, avoid applying the vinegar to the point and wash off with warm water. Do not leave to air dry. Dry them properly with cotton materials.

4. If you do not like any of these, why not buy the cymbal brand's cream or liquid. These were produced specifically for the cymbals and work like magic all the time, leaving them clean and looking new. The only downside to this is that it could be a bit pricey.

She remains true to her love and is hopeful that one day they will be together. However, just like most romances are destined to be, she starts to lose faith because she got tired of waiting for Romeo.

It helped a lot when the songwriter chose to use an allusion to the characters of the classic Shakesperian play Romeo and Juliet. This enabled the audience to relate better to the song and instantly understand what the writer is trying to say. Who doesn't know the tragic ending to Romeo and Juliet's love story? Once you hear the name of those two literary characters mentioned in the lyrics, you will instantly know the message of a song.

However, it doesn't matter if you relate to the message of the song clearly or not. This is one of the case where you take a song in its entireity. It's undeniable, the song sounds great. Good writing combined with great melody and interpretation.

If you listen to Britney Spears' Womanizer single, you can only have one of these two reactions: either love or hate it. But for this writer, it's definitely not hate--not in a million years.

Fans missed hearing the classic Britney Spears songs. She used to release album after album but due to being a personal trainwreck, we've seen her disappeared from all the bad publicity fast. But she is back. The release of Blackout made it official as well as her performance at the MTV VMAs where she made a complete mess of herself.

Blackout turned out to be her most unsuccessful album in her career. She then released a track from her upcoming album called Womanizer which seemed to have redeemed her from the mess she made at the MTV Awards. The track contained everything that is Britney Spears: funky, interesting, and catchy. It will make you dance and groove. You will experience last-song-syndrome after listening to it.

Fans will be able to connect to the song easily. The words, penned by Nikesha Briscoe and Rapheal Akinyemi, were relatable. It tells the story of a womanizer who's trying to score but he's been found out and the girl is not giving him a chance to even reach first base. A lot of young girls will connect to this one. The chorus cannot be any catchier: Womanizer, woman-womanizer You're a womanizer Oh womanizer, Oh you're a womanizer baby You, you, you are You, you, you are Womanizer, womanizer, womanizer.

In this song, composers have adapted an electro-pop punk feel. This added to the appeal of the single because it's something new and different. However, it would also seem fit if the song stayed true to Britney's signature sound which is bubblegum pop. It would still have the same effect and appeal to the fans.

The record still sounds great nevertheless. One can't deny that this is a hit--a Britney hit. She has her signature all over the record:The lyric, phrasing, the distinctive vocals and tempo.

Most artists would like to come out with a different sounding records. Britney was among them (she had a collaboration with Madonna) but with this particular track, it seemed she went back a couple of steps. The way Womanizer was arranged (taking the futuristic sound away), it sounded like the kind of record she would sing years ago, but it is NOT an issue because it sounded great. It was wise to go back to basics after her hiatus because it re-solidified her hold in the pop scene.

One can't deny the fact that Womanizer is a great song. If you expect a great comeback hit from Britney Spears, then you've got it. Nothing more is needed to be said.

Angels & Airwaves: We Don't Need to Whisper How Good They Are

When Tom, Travis, and Mark decided to take an indefinite leave (read: band split up) many fans of Blink 182 were disappointed because it seemed that the band was on its prime with their latest album, and the thought of them breaking up and going on separate ways seemed an unpleasant thought. Then Tom announced his new band, Angels & Airwaves.

I guess, based on a personal perspective, no one actually expects to hear a decent, if not better, sound from the new band since we all knew how talented each member of the band are and that collectively, they create wonderful music. That thought was shattered when their Angels & Airwaves' first album We Don't Need to Whisper came out.

We all see how great an artist Tom in this album. In each track, you will hear how powerful and infectious Tom's vocals are. He gives life to every song in the record. Combine it with a good writing and melody, you have a great song in your hands.

The mixture of good lyrics and good music makes this album great. You will enjoy listening to the amazing way the guitars and percussion were played by the band. The songs have nice rifts; the lyrics have relevance. All of these make for a great listening experience. Not bad for a first album.

When he formed Angels & Airwaves, Tom DeLonge was able to take a more serious path when it comes to his music. Though there are still upbeat songs in the record, it cannot be identified as a Blink 182 song. The tracks on the record have Angels & Airwaves' signature in them. They talk about hope, loss, war, love, and space. The songs also attempt to talk about the more serious topics in life. Over all, the album will not disappoint.

Angels & Airwaves showcased their superb ability to play the instruments in the album. You will hear every rift, strum, and beat perfectly timed to fit the lyric and melody. In order to give due importance to their musical ability, they have made their introductions long. One track, Valkyrie Missile, had an introduction that runs 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Another track that had a quite long introduction is Distraction, with 1 minute and 9 seconds.

The message of the whole album is what makes it very noteworthy. All the other elements, the lyrics, melody, rifts, and vocals all add up to make the message be heard loud and clear. In each song, you will feel the emotion behind Tom's vocals. It will haunt you and hit home. The message is relayed through the lyrics, which at times, can be repetitive. The writing is good but not remarkable. Nevertheless, it still makes a good impact for the listener.

As an end note, one cannot say that Angels & Airwaves is just another wannabe band. You can say that Tom's involvement has helped a lot in the outcome of their first attempt to enter the music scene but one must also take into consideration the individual talents of the other members. In the end, they, as a group, were able to create a noteworthy and memorable music.
